The signing of the Treaty of Ghent in Belgum where the USA refused to sign if the British kept their promises to their North American Nation allies... the British signed under those terms ending the War of 1812 and thus began 200 years of colonial genocide, systemic assimilation on these Nations that were once allies and Canadian Citizens have been misinformed and uneducated on Treaties with a heavy focus on a misleading history that Canada was forged out of war. |
