MADWEJIWAN ...

... is an Anishinabemowin word speaking of the sound moving water makes...often a healing sound for most.  Through MADWEJIWAN, Steven Baranyai offers cultural education through the arts of storytelling, show and tell, multi-instrumental music, dance, and more.  Steven shares his life experience to date of how he became clear on his own heart map in life.  He often felt like he was 'Barefoot on Blurry Lines', a title of the book he is writing, and it refers to his desire to understand his connection to the world around him yet that search was not often clear and sure footed.  He pushed forward regardless and with the combination of his education and Anishinabek culture, he feels the need to share his experiences, stories and lessons, truthfully and respectfully to help people in similar situations and journey's as himself.  He has presented and shared in over 100 schools within the public and catholic schools system, several high-schools, he has performed in two short films and acted in three plays, assisted in shooting a documentary film and has performed across Canada with the band he plays with called the Perpetual Peace Project.
Please contact Steven if you are interested in experiencing his unique and captivating services through the arts.
